Jamaica News, April 5, 2018 – Rose Heights Man Stabs Lover to Death, Gets $400,000 Bail
St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A man accused of the fatal stabbing of his 26 year-old girlfriend has been offered bail.
Billy Myrie, 39, of Rose Heights in St. James, has been charged with the murder of Shadell Campbell, who was residing at Campbell’s Lane in Mount Salem at the time of her death.
He was offered bail in the sum of $400,000 with three sureties and with reporting conditions following an application by attorney-at-law Stacy-Ann young.
His bail conditions stipulates that he resides elsewhere and not to visit Rose Heights nor have any contact with the witnesses.
He is booked to return to court on May 24.
Campbell, who was intimately involved with Myrie, was reportedly downtown Montego Bay when she met her demise.
It is alleged that on December 26, 2017, while she was in the town, Myries sneaked upon her from behind and stabbed her.
She succumbed to her injury in the Cornwall Regional Hospital a week later.
It is said that jealousy might have been the motive for her killing.
