Robot Taxi Operator Taken into Custody, for Allegedly Stealing Girlfriend’s Gun

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: Detectives attached to the Lucea CIB Department took a Hanover taxi operator into custody, on Monday, June 17, for allegedly stealing his girlfriend’s gun.

The police have indicated that, so far the accused man has not been officially charged, however, he was arrested after the female made a report that he had allegedly stolen her licensed firearm.

Reports by the police are that, somewhere between Saturday night into Sunday morning, the accused man was at his girlfriend’s home, when the incident occurred.

On Sunday morning, after spending the night with her, someone called him from the house and he immediately left. She got suspicious, went to check on her firearm and discovered that it was missing.

When contacted, the Hanover police confirmed the incident, but say they are unable to comment on whether criminal charges will be laid against him.
