St Elizabeth, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Security Minister Robert Montague: According to National Security Minister, Robert Montague many ordinary Jamaicans engage in acts of corruption in their everyday lives.
The minister who spoke at a town-hall meeting in Black River, St Elizabeth, last evening, said Jamaicans usually think of only politicians and the police as corrupt persons.
However, he suggested the practice is endemic and is found at every level of society.
Montague (in mentioning another moral issue) is insisting that parish councils must refuse to grant entertainment permits to promoters who have been known to have children at their parties.
An enraged Montague says it is time for standards to be set in relation to certain practices.
