Latest Jamaica News, Montego Bay (McKoy’s News): Robber Chopped and Stoned to Death – The Freeport police are carrying out investigations, surrounding the mob killing of an unidentified robber, who was chopped and stoned to death, minutes after being caught breaking into a house in the Rosemount Gardens community, in Montego Bay, St James, on Friday, August 23.
The Investigators say the unidentified male is of dark complexion, slim built, about 5ft-10ins tall, and appears to be in his mid-twenties.
He was clad only in an underpants.
Reports by the police are that about 8:30 p.m. on Friday, a female homeowner came home from work and discovered that a window to her bedroom was broken into.
She then heard strange sounds coming from the bedroom and upon investigating, she saw the accused robber hiding under her bed.
She immediately raised an alarm and a large crowd of community members rushed to her assistance. The robber was dragged from the house to the outside along the roadway, where he was beaten, chopped and stoned to death.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the unidentified male was found lying in a pool of blood, with large stones beside his head.
The scene was processed and the police recovered several items which he had removed from the female’s house earlier.
