Ricky Trooper Murdered in Westmoreland

Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Ricky Trooper Murdered: A 29-year-old carpenter was shot and killed by a gunman, travelling on a pillion of a motorcycle, in the parish of Westmoreland on Thursday night.

Dead is Ricardo Brown, otherwise called Ricky Trooper, of a Shrewburry address.

Reports by the Whithorne police, are that at about 9:30 pm on Thursday, November 9,  Brown and another man were standing outside a shop located at the Shrewsbury Housing scheme.

Subsequently, a motorcycle pulled up with two men on board, and the pillion rider immediately jumped off and brandished a handgun. The gunman opened fire hitting Brown all over his body, while the other man ran and escaped unhurt.

The gunman made his escape from the scene on the motorcycle, while the police were summoned, and upon their arrival,  the wounded man was transported to the Savanna-la-mar hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
