Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson: U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is expected to arrive in Jamaica today as part of his Latin American and Caribbean “Union and Dignity” tour.
The United States Secretary of State has already visited Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Peru with his last tour being Jamaica.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Tillerson are expected to hold bilateral talks on various issues such as national security and climate change. These dialogues will ultimately be followed by a joint press conference with both men at the Office of the Prime Minister at 1:45 p.m.
Tillerson will then head to the US Embassy at Old Hope Road, Kingston and he departs for Washington at 3 p.m.
Former Prime Minister PJ Patterson advised the Jamaican Government to push its own issues of importance with the US Secretary of State.
