Detectives probing the mob killing of a man in Blenheim, Hanover on Monday, June 14, have identified the deceased as Adrian Sweeny—the reputed leader of the Dalling Street Gang in Westmoreland.

Reports are that about 9:00 a.m. Sweeny and another man allegedly drove a Nissan AD wagon to the community, where they opened gunfire at a resident. The man received gunshot injuries but escaped and made an alarm. It is alleged that residents subsequently cornered Sweeny in the community and chopped him to death. His alleged crony escaped.

The investigation continues.
