Ratty Perish in Portland Crash

Latest Jamaica News, Portland: 29-year-old Marvin Thomas, otherwise called ‘Ratty’ a barber of Orange Bay, in Portland, died from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident, which occurred along a section of the Orange Bay main road in the parish, on Monday, July 22.

Another male who was driving a motor car was also injured in the crash and is presently at hospital in serious condition.

Reports by the police are that about 7:40 p.m. on Monday, Thomas was driving a Pulse motorcycle along the mentioned roadway when he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a Toyota Belta motor car, which was traveling in the opposite direction.

Both Thomas and the driver of the motor car sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital, where Thomas was pronounced dead, and the other driver admitted.
