Gilbert Arenas, has been known to be very vocal and vulgar about a certain demographic of women, in particular black women’s identity, physical features and age. It was no surprise that the racist NBA player of the Memphis Grizzlies, posts what one would describe as an anthology of disrespect, through tweets, comments and imagery depicting black women as inferior to other ethnicity and undesirable/ugly
In a recent post, made by an Instagram account call problkthought, the administrator was encouraging black women to accept their features as beautiful, and they don’t have to be mix or biracial to be considered beautiful.
“Your African features are all you need for attractiveness. Never tell yourself or let anyone tell you that in order to be attractive you must be mixed.”
The racist NBA player, very dark skin himself, not sign to a championship team or has earned any ring, any endorsement base on his basketball talent, or influence on the young mind, commented in a reply to the post that was made, “How black are we talking??? Not to be funny can you name a beautiful black woman on the top outside…not brown skin…like tyrese black…top 50 most beautiful women of all time…the darkest woman they have is (Keisha Knight Pullam) aka Rudy (gab)) union) (taral hicks) (Serena Williams)
He went further to comment “When u say African features black then u have (#1lupita n’yonga) and she’s cute when the lights are off second is (Ajuma nasenyana) sorry but ewww so the beautiful women u try to boost up is technically light skinned or brown skinned.”

The rather frightening badinage coming from a black man, who is obviously not Caucasian or mix by any means, but rather very dark skin himself, was shocking to those who weren’t aware of his usual racist tirade.
A number of persons have responded to his comment in like manner, others have dismissed the racist NBA player posts while some are asking for him to be banned from Instagram permanently because he’s racist.
In 2015, Arenas had made some chauvinistic comments about the WNBA, where he came under attack from many women.
“NOW this is what America was hoping for when they announced the #WNBA back in 1996… not a bunch of chicks running around looking like, cast members from #orangeisthenewblack…don’t get me wrong, they have few #cutiepies but there’s a whole alotta #beanpies running around hahahahahaha if #skylardiggins came out like this, I don’t care if she missed every layup..imma buy season tickets and I dont even know where the [expletive] #tulsa is hahahaha #2016newwnbaoutfitPLS and if u think this is sexist,9 times out of 10 u the ugly one and we didn’t pay to come see u play anyway #donkeykong …smdh #thiswillbeawesome #soldouteverywhere.”
In recent post, many are saying black American men, in particular athletes are racist and believe it’s their duty and right to attack black women simply for being black, yet these are the same men who want black women to stand behind them, march, protest, take a bullet as a cause for the shooting of unarmed black men by police officers.
