“Puppy Rice” Charged with Murder of Footballer Kavon Nelson, to Appear in Court this Thursday

Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: The St Andrew North Police say, one man who was charged with murder and other criminal charges, on Thursday, November 29, is booked to appear in the St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, December 6.

Facing charges of murder, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and wounding with intent is 28-year-old Jevan McIntosh, otherwise called “Puppy Rice” laborer of Fairdene Avenue, in Kingston 19.

McIntosh was charged with the September 18, murder of 25-year-old Kavon Nelson, footballer of Mockville Terrace, also in Kingston 19.

Reports by the police are that 12:45 a.m., on September 18, Nelson was at his home when a group of armed men kicked open the door to his house.

Nelson was shot multiple times to his upper body and died on the spot.
