Prisoner Escape Kingston Public Hospital

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The Kingston police have now launched a manhunt for a prisoner, who escaped custody after being transported to the Kingston Public Hospital for medical treatment on Thursday morning, September 26.

He has been identified as Eric Banner otherwise called “Whites” 50-year-old of West Cumberland in Portmore, St Catherine, he was arrested and charged with Shooting with Intent, and Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.

Banner was arrested and charged on Friday, June 8 for the gun-related incident,  and again charged on Saturday, June 9, for a separate offense of, Possession of counterfeit notes.

Reports by the police are that about 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Banner who developed medical issues while in custody was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital to be treated.

After being placed in a safe room at the hospital,  he somehow managed to escape.

Banner is if dark complexion, medium build, about 5ft -8ins tall and sports a low haircut.
