Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: A prisoner who was an inmate at the Hunts Bay lock-up in Kingston, died on Sunday, September 30 at hospital, after complaining of feeling ill.
He has been identified as Adjay Williams, 24-year-old, of Olympic Gardens in Kingston 11.
Reports by the Hunts Bay Police are that about 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, Williams who was taken into custody on charges of assault occasioning bodily harm, was found unresponsive in his cell during routine checks by cell guards.
He was immediately transported to hospital where he died whilst being treated.
The police say they are awaiting a post-mortem examination result to determine the true cause of death.
