Prime Minister Andrew Holness Says Hoteliers Embrace Security Measures

Jamaica News, St James: Despite the Opposition People’s National Party recently voted to end the State of Public Emergency in the parish of St James,  Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, says hoteliers across western Jamaica have now embraced these security measures, saying it is the best thing for the Tourism Industry.

“Businesses are evolving, but so too must the culture of the people evolve,  we have to make ourselves better as a people “, Prime Minister Holness stated.  “when these security measures were announced, I was being questioned, but I am now being told by hoteliers to keep the security measures”.

The Prime Minister said: “the reason why we have government is to give leadership to social change, the government is also about introducing social policies and this has come in the form of safety, security and seamlessness.

The Prime Minister was speaking at the Business luncheon, which was held in the Conference Room at Sandals Montego Bay resort on Tuesday, December 18.

The event was hosted by business tycoon Gordon Butch Stewart, as part of Sandals being over sixty years in existence.
