Portland Man Arrested for Murder in Montego Bay

Jamaica Crime News, Montego Bay: Portland Man Arrested for Murder A 23-year-old Portland man, was taken into custody by the Freeport police, in connection with the stabbing death of another man, in Montego Bay, St James, on Wednesday afternoon, June 26.

The name of the accused is being withheld and he has been arrested for the murder of 38-year-old Damian Royes, otherwise called ” Django” of bogue heights, also in Montego Bay.

Reports are that about 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, both men were at a house located in Bogue Village, Montego Bay, when they got involved in an argument.

A knife was brought into play, which was used by the accused, to stab Royes to the regions of his upper body.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the scene was processed and Royes transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The accused man was then taken into custody.
