Popular Westmoreland Chef Fatally Shot in Grocery Store

Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Westmoreland Chef Fatally Shot: A popular Chef from the parish of Westmoreland was gunned down inside a grocery shop in  Savanna-la-mar on Friday morning.

Dead is Michael Brown, otherwise called ‘Lion’, 36-year-old Chef, of a Lot 135 Darling Street address, also in Savanna-la-mar.

Reports by the police are that at about 7:20 am on Friday, November 9,  Brown went to the grocery shop at the Intersection of Barclay and Darling Street.

Upon entering the grocery shop, he was followed by an unidentified man who pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the victim’s face. The gunman open fire, hitting Brown in his face and head, before making his escape on foot in the area.

The police were summoned, and upon their arrival, the victim was taken to the Savanna-la-mar Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
