Popular Montego Bay Vendor Gunned Down in Westmoreland

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: 52-year-old Sobers Dunkley, a popular vendor who resided in Glendevon, St James, but sells in Savanna-la-mar, was shot and killed by a group of armed men on Saturday evening, October 27.
Reports by the police are that about 6:45 pm, Dunkley was sitting at his stall in the vicinity of the Savanna-la-mar market, along Great Georges Street, when he was approached by three men.
On reaching in close proximity of the vendor, the three men brandished handguns and opened fire, hitting Dunkley multiple times to his upper body.
The men then made their escape in the area on foot.
Residents in the area then alerted the police and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Savanna-la-mar hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
