‘Poppy’ Murdered in St Andrew

Twenty-year-old Nicholas Mckoy, otherwise called ‘Poppy’ of Union Gardens in Kingston, was shot and killed outside a shop in St Andrew, on Saturday, January 15.
Reports by the police are that about 8:30pm, Mckoy was standing at a shop located at the intersection of Bowen Road and Kidd Lane, when he was ambushed by armed men.
The men opened fire, hitting Mckoy multiple times before escaping in the area on foot.
The police were later called to the scene and upon arrival, the wounded man was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
