Police Seized Firearm and Ammunition in Kingston Central

A Kingston man was taken into police custody and charged with breaches of the Firearms Act following a Joint /Police Military operation at Love Lane in Kingston on Sunday.

Twenty-three-year-old Christopher Latouche has been charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Reports from the Central Police are that about 11:00 p.m., Latouche was accosted by the officers and searched. One 9 mm Beretta pistol along with 15 live rounds of ammunition was taken from his person.

His court date will be announced at a later date.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
