Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Police Seize Massive Ammunition, Firearm in Amity Hall: The Amity Hall police in St James on Thursday night seized two illegal firearms and over 1200 rounds of ammunition at a shop in the Amity Hall community.
No one was arrested during the seizure, but the lawmen say they are now in search of two men from the community, who have since fled the area.
Reports are that. about 10:00 pm on Thursday, a team of officers attached to the Amity Hall police station, was carrying out patrols at a section of the area known as Sunderland.
On reaching a shop, they saw two men who ran after seeing the lawmen approaching.
A search of the area led to the seizure of two 9mm semi-automatic pistols, and over 1200 live assaulted rounds, which were left behind by the men.
The police pointed out that, there was also a piece of equipment which seemed like a GPS system, two 9mm extension clips, and an assault rifle extension clip.
