Police Seeking Assistance to Locate Hit-and-Run Driver who Killed Pedal Cyclist in Portmore

Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: The Portmore Police say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance, to identify a hit and run driver who was involved in a motor vehicle accident, which claimed the life of a pedal cyclist in Portmore, St Catherine on Tuesday, December 25.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Camarlowe Sappleton, who hails from Rosemary Avenue in Newlands, St Catherine.

Reports by the police are that about 12:30 a.m. on Monday, Sappleton was riding a bicycle along a section of the roadway in Portmore, when he was mowed down by the driver of a Honda Stream motor car.

The driver failed to stop and the police were summoned, who upon arrival at the location, transported the wounded man to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
