Jamaica Crime News, St Mary: The police in the parish of St Mary, say they are now asking members of the public with information that could assist in their investigations, surrounding the shooting death of a 33-year-old businesswoman, along a section of Wellington road in Gayle district, St Mary on Wednesday night, September 19, to come forward.
Investigators say they have now reached a crossroad in their investigations and any form of information would be of great help to the police in apprehending the victim’s killer of killers.
Lynsay Silvera, otherwise called “Cuffie-Ann” also of Gayle district, was shot and killed while walking home from her business place.
Reports by the St Mary police are that about 9:20 p.m., Silvera had just closed up her shop and was walking along the roadway in the directions of her home, when she was attacked and shot multiple times to her upper body.
Residents in the area alerted the police and upon arrival, Silvera was discovered lying along the roadway in a pool of blood.
She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead. The police say they still believe robbery may have been the motive surrounding the murder.
