Jamaica Crime News, Portland: The Buff Bay Police say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance, to locate the person responsible for the shooting death of a woman in Buff Bay, Portland on Sunday, October 14.
The victim has been identified as Stacey Ann Wellington of Oliver Street, also in Buff Bay.
Reports by the Buff Bay Police are that about 6:10 p.m. on Sunday, Wellington was sitting on her verandah when she was ambushed and shot by armed men.
The female received multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body, while residents in the area alerted the police.
Upon arrival, the wounded female was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The police say they are now asking members of the public with information to contact the nearest police station.
