Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Child pornographic videos: the Jamaican police, Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) have established a dedicated WhatsApp number for persons to forward inappropriate social media pictures and videos involving children to then directly.

JCF’s information arm, Constabulary Communications Unit, CCU, now has a cell phone number and a WhatsApp account, to which members of the public should send videos or other images and information of material known as or resembling child pornography or any other issue that they believe should be reported to the police.

Child pornographic videos: Head of the CCU Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay says persons found to have child pornographic images, material and videos in their possession are breaking the law by storing and, or sharing with other persons.

She is asking the public to utilize the WhatsApp and send the materials to the police then delete it from their phones and not share.

The CCU is advising members of the public to desist from circulating these photos or videos to third parties.

The police say persons must report child pornography, or abuse to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse, CISOCA.
