Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: The Hunts Bay Police have confirmed that, 44-year-old Louis Gordon, otherwise called “Pam Pa” of Majesty Gardens, St Andrew, who was shot and killed by unknown assailants on Saturday, September 8, was gunned down minutes after being introduced as a tour guide to promoters of “Stop the Crime and Violence Concert“.
One officer told our news team that this concert was coordinated by Queen Kamaria and aimed at bringing youths together withing troubled communities, throughout the corporate area.
The event was sponsored by Irie Fm, Catalyst Entertainment Group and the Peace Management Initiative.
Reports by the Hunts Bay Police are Gordon who resided at New Road in the area, was introduced to the coordinators of the event as the perfect person to lead them around in Backto area.
He was inside the venue but later walked on the outside about 8:40 p.m., when residents and patrons in Majesty Gardens heard a barrage of gunshots being fired on the outside and dashed for cover.
When the shooting subsided, the police were summoned and upon arrival, they discovered Gordon’s body lying along the roadway, in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds.
The scene was processed and Gordon was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The police have indicated that extra security measures will be taken at the staging of the next show, which is this weekend, Saturday, September 15 in Seaview Gardens.
The tour will then move into Tivoli Gardens on the following weekend, Saturday, September 22.
