Latest Jamaica News, Kingston: Teen Shot and Killed by Security Officers – The Kingston police have released the identities of the teenage boy who was shot and killed by two security officers, who responded to a report of a break-in at a section of Cross Road, St Andrew last Wednesday, July 10.
He has been identified as 16-year-old Tae-Sean Marshall, of a Kingston address.
In the meanwhile, our news team learned that the security guards involved in the shooting have been removed from front line duty.
Reports are that about 11:45 p.m. last Wednesday, the security guards responded to a report of a break-in taking place at a premises, along Cross Roads.
On reaching the area, they saw Marshall and two other teens walking along the roadway, and the teens stopped and engaged in a conversation with the security guards.
One of the security guards was caught on CCTV camera pulling his firearm and shooting, resulting in one of the teens fleeing the scene, and the other being taken into custody.
A toy gun was taken from the body of the dead teen.
