Police Release Identity of Man Shot and Killed on Barracks Road, in Montego Bay

Latest Jamaica News, Montego Bay (McKoy’s News): Man Shot and Killed on Barracks Road The Montego Bay Freeport police have released the identity of a man who was shot and killed along Barracks Road, in Montego Bay, St James, on Saturday night, August 24.

He has been identified as 26-year-old Lamar Jones, otherwise called “Tallman” unemployed of Spot Valley community, and Barracks Road.

Returning Resident Executed During Robbery Attempt in Westmoreland

Reports by the Freeport police are that about 7:30 p.m., Jones was walking along a footpath that leads from a section of Creek Street in downtown Montego Bay, to Barracks Road, when he was ambushed by armed men, who shot him to death.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Jones was discovered lying along the footpath in a pool of blood, with multiple gunshot wounds.

The scene was processed and Jones’ body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
