Police Officer Killed in May Pen Crash

Jamaica News, Clarendon: A police Constable who is attached to the Clarendon Police Division lost his life in a motor vehicle accident which occurred along May Pen leg at a section of the PJ Patterson Highway, in Clarendon on Tuesday morning, April 23.

Dead is Constable Clive Wedderburn of New Harbor Village, Phase 11, in Old Harbor, St Catherine.

Reports reaching our newsroom are that about 12:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Constable Wedderburn was driving a Toyota Corolla motor car along a section of the PJ. Patterson highway, when he lost control of the vehicle and collided into the rear of a motor truck.

The wounded officer was rushed to hospital, where he died whilst being treated.

Constable Wedderburn is the second policeman to lose his life in a motor vehicle accident over the past 21 days.
