Jamaica News: Our news team has learnt that a police officer who was involved in a motor vehicle accident along a section of the highway in Falmouth, Trelawny still remains at the Falmouth Hospital in stable condition. Another police officer and two JDF soldiers who were travelling in the vehicle also received injuries and were treated.
Reports are that, about 2:00 pm, both police officers and two JDF Soldiers were travelling in a service vehicle heading from the directions of Falmouth towards Montego Bay.
On reaching a section of the roadway, known as Bogue Gates, a female driver allegedly drove from a minor roadway unto the highway into the path of the patrol car.
Both vehicles collided and were extensively damaged. The two police officers and the female were transported to the Falmouth Hospital where one of the officers and the female were treated and released and the other officer admitted. The injured JDF officers were both transported to Kingston by the JDF high command where they are being treated.
