Jamaica Crime News, Montego Bay: The St James Police have now joined forces with the Trelawny police, in a search of the parish, for a Jamaican born, American-based, entertainer who went missing from Montego Bay, on Saturday, June 15, just days after he arrived in the island.
Investigators say the missing entertainer, 35-year-old Kemar McPherson, who hails from Bottom Pen, in Glendevon community, informed family members that he had made arrangements with a girlfriend who resides in Trelawny, to pick him up in downtown Montego Bay.
It is also reported that McPherson, just recently released a hit single in the USA. called “Summer Time”, and this song has been creating waves on the local and international market.
Close relatives of the missing entertainer say, Kemar informed them that he was supposed to link up with his girlfriend, who in turn was supposed to take him to rent a motor car, to do business in Kingston.
One police source related that it is suspected that the missing man might have been lured to the parish of Trelawny and then killed, based on some leads which they are following.
The police officer also stated that, a series of investigations are now being carried out and also it is believed that the entertainer might have gone missing somewhere in that parish.
It is also reported that a team of police officers acted upon information, went to a section of Trelawny on Sunday, in search of. McPherson, but they were confronted by armed men, who managed to elude the police.
A missing person’s report was also released by the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Constabulary Communication Network (CCU) stated that McPherson is of brown complexion, slim built, with tattoos on both upper arms.
According to CCU, the entertainer was last seen leaving his home wearing a dark green T-shirt, blue jeans pants, and a pair of white sneakers.
