Police Investigating Teenager’s Murder in St Andrew

Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: The Hunts Bay Police in St Andrew are still searching for clues at a murder scene at Queens Bay drive in Duhaney Park, St Andrew, where an 18-year-old boy was shot to death by unknown assailants on Friday morning. October 5.

The deceased has been identified as Tavid Dewar,  who resided at Greater Portmore also in St Catherine.

Reports by the police are that about 8:00 a.m. on Friday, residents living in Duhaney Park area raised an alarm after hearing a barrage of gunshots being fired in the area.

The police rushed to the location and upon arrival, they stumbled upon Dewar’s body, which was lying in a pool of blood along the roadway, in close proximity to the playing field. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Dewar was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
