Police Investigating Murder, Arson in Central Village

Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: Detectives attached to the Central Village CIB Department are now carrying out a full-scale investigation into the death of a man, whose burn body was discovered in a room at his home, which was also set on fire in Central Village on Friday morning, October 19.

The deceased has been identified as Leroy Elliston, 39-year-old farmer of Zambia district, also in Central Village.

Reports are that about 11:00 a.m. on Friday, persons in Central Village who are relatives with the deceased, went in search of him and discovered the front door to his home kicked in.

Upon investigating they also discovered that the bedroom to the house was set on fire and Elliston burnt body was seen lying on the floor, with his hands and feet bound.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the scene was processed and Elliston’s body was removed and sent to the morgue.
