Police investigate More Murder and Shootings in Westmoreland

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: Police investigate More Murder The police in the parish of Westmoreland were again put to the task on Saturday morning of the weekend, March 9, to investigate yet another murder, shooting in the parish.
This latest deceased has been identified as 68-year-old Gladstone Lloyd Clarke, prominent businessman of Deans Valley Housing Scheme, also in Westmoreland. A female was also shot and injured during the incident, and is presently at hospital in serious but stable condition.
Reports by the Savanna-la-mar police are that about 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, Clarke who operates a business on a plaza in Chantilly district, was in the process of opening up his business place when he was pounced upon by two armed men.
The men opened fire hitting the businessman multiple times to his upper body. The female who is alleged to be his employee, was also shot and injured during the incident.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Clarke and the injured female were rushed to the Savanna-la-mar hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and the female treated and admitted.
