Jamaica News, St Catherine: The St Catherine police say they are now carrying out investigations of family members, who were present at the house in Wakefield community where 30-year-old Kemar Abrahams, who is suspected to have committed suicide by shooting himself while at his home on Saturday morning, May 19.
It is reported that shortly after 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Abrahams who is an Insurance Claims Consultant by profession, was at home with other family members in Wakefield when a loud explosion was heard.
Family members went to investigate and discovered him lying in a pool of blood at a section of the house . He also had what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to his head.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the scene was processed and the body later removed to the hospital where the victim was pronounced dead.
It has still not yet been disclosed if a licensed Glock pistol which was discovered close to the body was infact owned by the deceased.
Kemar Abrahams is the son of the Jamaica Labour Party Councillor for the Bog Walk Division, Peter Abrahams.
Recently Abrahams senior was taken into custody after a firearm which is reported to be owned by him was discovered in a motor car in which four men were taken into custody by the police.
