Latest Jamaica News, Kingston (McKoy’s News): Police Impersonator Held A man who posed as a police officer was arrested and charged, following the seizure of an illegal firearm at a Sports Bar in Lyndale Avenue, in Kingston 20, on Saturday, August 17.

The identity of the accused is being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports by the Constant Spring police are that about 11:40 p.m., the police were on operation in the area, when they search patrons who were inside a sports bar.

During the search, the accused was found in possession of a Ruger 9mm pistol, fitted with a magazine containing eight 9mm rounds.

He immediately told the officers that he was a police officer, and also a licensed firearm holder. Following investigations, it was discovered that he was an impersonator.
