Jamaica News, Kingston: The police are now urging licensed firearm holders to be careful at all time and fully comply with the safety guidelines for the use and care of their firearms.
Licensed firearm holders are also being reminded to adhere to the rules governing the safekeeping and storage of firearms, especially when they travel or visit venues where firearms are now allowed.
Leaving weapons in safes at home that do not have proper security or leaving weapons in motor vehicles are both unsafe practices that can result in weapons being stolen.
Licenced firearm holders are urged to desist from doing so.
Failure to comply can result in your licensed firearm being seized or being charged with Breaches of the Firearm Act.
