Jamaica Crime News: Police Constable Shot and Injured – A heated gun battle between armed men which occurred at a section of Tower Hill, in St Andrew, on Wednesday morning, January 23rd.

Our news team has learned that a Police Constable received gunshot wounds in the regions of his arm, and is presently at the hospital in stable condition.

Reports by the police are that about 7:00 a.m., on Wednesday,  residents living in sections of Tower Hill, had to seek cover, after two armed gang members traded bullets with each other.

The Police Constable who was driving by, challenge the gunmen, and during the exchange of gunfire, he was shot in his arm.

Other officers rushed to the scene and confronted the gunmen who escaped in the area on foot.

The Constable was transported to a hospital, where he was treated and admitted in stable condition.
