Police Caught with Ganja in His Shoes Arrested

Kingston, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News)Police Caught Smuggling Ganja: A police district constable, who was attached to the Detention and Courts Division, is now in lock-up, after he was arrested and charged with possession of ganja and introducing contraband into a penal institution Saturday Dec 2..

57-year-old Dale Edwards was assigned to the Horizon Remand Centre on Spanish Town Road, Kingston 14 when, according to the Denham Town police, at about 9:35 a.m. on Saturday he going through the normal clearance process before entering a cell. On examination during his search by a corrections officer he was found to have a parcel of ganja wrapped with masking tape, hidden inside the boot he was wearing.




Dale was arrested and charged by officers assigned to the Kingston Western Police Division.

He is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, December 14.
