The police in Trelawny and St James say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance to identify those responsible for the gruesome murder of popular 65-year-old, Attorney at law, Williams Hinds , whose body was discovered at the bottom of a sinkhole , in the Goodwill area , which lies on the border of St James and Trelawny, on Saturday afternoon, February 2nd.
The police who have now joined forces in their investigations say, Williams Hinds, otherwise called ” Baldie ” an Attorney At Law who resides a Violet Avenue in Kingston 6, and Greenside district, in Falmouth, Trelawny, went missing from his home on January 6th, 2019.
It is reported that on Saturday afternoon, about 3:00 p.m., family members of the missing lawyer, organized a search party and went in search of him, while carrying out searches on a farmland in Goodwill, St James, known as Orange Hill, the a smell a foul odour coming from the sinkhole on the farm property and went to investigate.
The police were also summoned, and an investigation led to the discovery of the decomposing body at to bottom of the sinkhole.
It took the lawmen and firefighters attached to the Falmouth Fire Department, over a day to remove the lawyer’s body from the pit.
A burnt-out briefcase which is said to have been owned by lawyer Hinds was also discovered beside an old farmhouse on the property.
One police source told our news team that the body was positively identified by the clothing, by a family member.
Mr. Hinds was reported last seen alive about 11:00a.m., on January 6th, at his home in Falmouth.
