A man was arrested and charged by the police after an illegal firearm with several rounds of ammunition were found, seizing two motor cars and three mobile phones on Saturday, November 7 in Boothe Town, Ballieston in Clarendon.
According to the Spaulding Police Reports are that about 4:30 p.m., a team of officers went to a house where two men fled upon their arrival. Another man who was seen on the premises was approached and he, along with the premises, were searched.
During the search, a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol with a magazine containing twelve 9mm rounds of ammunition were discovered in the pocket of a concrete block.
Two motor cars and three cellular phones were also confiscated.
The man, whose identity they have not released by the police, was subsequently arrested.
He is booked to appear in court at a later date.
