PNP Says Volunteers In St Mary SE Viciously Attacked

St. Mary, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- PNP Says Volunteers In St Mary SE Viciously Attacked: The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) wants Police Commissioner George Quallo to take immediate steps to stem the increase in politically motivated violence in sections of South East St Mary.

The PNP issued a statement today, stating that at least three of its volunteers were viciously attacked in separate incidents in the past week and two party workers had to seek medical attention.

The PNP’s Dr. Shane Alexis and Dr. Norman Dunn of the governing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) are in a tight race to win the South East St. Mary constituency in the October 30 by-election.

The constituency seat became vacant after the sudden passing of Dr. Winston Green in August.
