Pedestrian Involved in Westmoreland Accident Dies in Hospital

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: A male pedestrian, who sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital following his involvement in a motorcycle accident which occurred along a section of Bay Road, in Little London, Westmoreland, on Saturday, December 8, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, December 9.

The deceased has been identified as Gilbert Dixon, laborer also of Little London address.

Reports by the Little London police are that about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday,  Dixon was walking along a section of Bay Road, when he attempted to cross the roadway and was hit by a motorcyclist.

Both Dixon and the motorcycle rider sustained injuries, and were rushed to the Savanna-la-mar hospital, where they were admitted in serious condition.

Dixon succumbed to his injuries on Sunday morning, while the motorcycle rider still remains at hospital in serious condition.
