Former People’s National Party (PNP) General Secretary Paul Burke has thrown his weight behind the presidential bid of Mark Golding in the PNP Leadership race.
The PNP will elect a successor to Party President Dr Peter Phillips on November 7. Lisa Hanna and Mark Golding have said they are offering themselves.
Mr Burke says his vote is with Mark Golding. In a social media post, Burke said: “I wish both comrades the best, but my vote is with the future of the People’s party. My vote is with Comrade Mark Golding.”
Burke is to hold a Zoom meeting this evening to give details about “Why I have come to the position that Comrade Mark Golding is the better candidate for PNP President.”
