Jamaica News, Montego Bay: Maurice Marks popularly known as ‘Parky’ after few months being blinded with cataract was finally able to see again after undergoing an optical operation.
The King Street resident who is more than happy and grateful for having his sight restored eagerly gave his Thank you speech “I want to thank all the people who have helped me to get back my sight. People like Sadie, Tamara, Dulcie, Reggae, Maxine, Deenie, Hubert Allen, Charlie, my sisters, brothers, cousins, friends and all the Harbour Street Craft market people, you all did me well, God Bless you all!” Marks said enthusiastically with a big smile and his hands raised.
A few months ago Marks had to be led by different people who knew him in order to get around due to his inability to see. This condition caused by the severe growth of cataract over his eyes soon deteriorated by October 2018 causing the temporary loss of his sight.
Marks a past student of the now called St. James high school as well as a lover and passionate speaker of football, especially when it comes on to Seba football matches now goes back to living and enjoying a normal life with his vision back to normal.
