Update: Security Charged For Murdering Nurse Ophelia Wollaston

St. Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- Update: Security Charged For Murdering Nurse- Ophelia Wollaston: 60-yr-old Alvin Hugh Chatrie, Security Guard and ex-soldier of Runaway Bay, St. Ann, is the man implicated in the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 39-yr-old Ophelia Wollaston, a nurse who was employed to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital. He has now been charged with her murder.

Wollaston, who was shot at a supermarket in St. Ann’s Bay hours after filing a report with the police about receiving death threats, died while undergoing treatment on Saturday morning.

Ms Wollaston’s colleagues have been upset about the slow reaction of the police to act on her previous complaints and as a result, protested outside the St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital Tuesday (October 31, 2017) morning in strong opposition of violence against women.

Chatrie is expected to face the St Ann Parish Court later this week.
