Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: The police in the parish of Clarendon say they have now made a breakthrough into the identity of the male victim who was discovered shot to death along with an unidentified female at a house in the Canaan Heights area of May Pen on Thursday night, May 17.
The investigators have now given the name of the male victim as Junior Kerr, 23-year-old unemployed of Canaan Heights also in May Pen.
Reports by the May Pen police are that shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, residents living at a section of the area known as Canaan Heights, alerted the police after hearing gunshots coming from the directions of a house.
The lawmen rushed to the location and upon arrival, they discovered the main entrance to the house kicked in. Upon entering the house, Kerr and the unidentified female who is believed to be his common-law wife were discovered shot to death.
The unidentified female was discovered in the nude in a partially seated position in a couch, while Kerr was discovered lying on the floor of the room in a pool of blood. He was clad only in his underpants.
The police say they were given conflicting stories by residents in the area about the relationship that Kerr and the unidentified female shared. It is also reported that, a motor vehicle was seen driving away from the scene following the shooting.
The scene was processed and Kerr and the female were both transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
