One Man Taken into Custody in Connection with Seizure of Illegal Firearm and Ammunition

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The Hunts Bay Police say they have not yet laid criminal charges against a man, who was caught in possession of an illegal firearm and two rounds of ammunition on Wednesday afternoon of July 4th in  Kingston 13.

The police have also pointed out that the identity of the accused is being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports by the Hunts Bay Police are that shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a team of officers were on mobile duties along Crescent Road when they saw the accused acting in a suspicious manner.

He was accosted and searched and a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol loaded with two live 9mm rounds was taken from his waistband. The accused was taken into custody.
