One Man Arrested Following Two Firearm Seizures in Kingston 16

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: One man has been taken into custody following the seizure of two illegal firearms and several rounds of ammunition by the Kingston police along Bryden Street in Kingston 16 on Tuesday, November 20.

The name of the man taken into custody has been withheld pending further investigations.

Reports by the police are that on Tuesday morning, a team of officers carried out an operation along sections of Bryden Street and search a number of premises.

During the search of one premises, the lawmen discovered a Taurus 9mm semi-automatic pistol, loaded with twenty-one 9mm rounds of ammunition.

A search carried out at a neighboring premises led to the discovery of a black Springfield XDM pistol, fitted with a magazine containing twenty live 9mm rounds.

Further searches of the premises led to the arrest of the accused, who was found hiding underneath the cellar of the house.
