One Killed, Four Hospitalized, in St James Crash

Jamaica News, St James: One man is now dead, and four other persons hospitalized in serious conditions, following their involvements in a motor vehicle accident, which occurred along a section of the Lilliput main road, in Montego Bay, St James, on Sunday morning.

The dead man has been identified as 21-year-old Christopher Sherman, a bartender of 22 Ranch road, in Westgreen, Montego Bay.

The identities of the injured victims are being withheld by the police.

Reports by the police are that about 2:00 a.m., on Sunday morning, Sherman and three females were traveling in a blue Toyota Yaris motorcar, from the directions of Falmouth towards Montego Bay.

On reaching the vicinity of the Iberostar hotel, he failed to keep to his left and collided into a Toyota Axio motor car, which was traveling in the opposite direction.

Sherman, along with the three females and the driver of the other car, sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and the other three victims admitted in serious condition.
