One Dead, Four Injured in St James Crash

Jamaica News, St James: An unidentified man lost his life, and four other persons admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in serious but stable condition, following their involvements in a motor vehicle accident which occurred along a section of the ACS Combs Highway in Montego Bay, St James on Tuesday morning, April 23.

Reports by the Freeport police are that, shortly after 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday, the driver and four passengers were traveling in a Toyota Camry motor car, from the directions of Montego Bay towards Hanover.

On reaching a section of the Highway, he lost control of the vehicle, which ran into a ditch, crashed into an embankment and overturned.

The unidentified driver and his four passengers sustained head and body injuries, and were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and the other wounded passengers admitted in serious condition.
