One Dead, Another Injured, in Westmoreland Crash

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: One man lost his life, and another was admitted to hospital in serious condition, after they sustained injuries in a motor vehicle accident, which occurred along a section of the Frome main road, in Westmoreland, on Sunday, July 30.

The dead man has since been identified as Romario Campbell, labourer of Frome district. The injured motorcycle rider has been identified as Alex Patterson, a security guard, of the same address.

Reports are that about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Patterson was riding a Cobra CG200 motorcycle, along the Frome main road, with Campbell as the pillion.

On reaching the vicinity of Toll Gate Square, the motorcycle fell into a pool of water, causing Patterson to lose control, and crashed into a Noah bus.

Both men sustained received injuries and were transported to hospital, where Campbell was pronounced dead, and Patterson admitted in serious condition.
